Words cannot express how thankful I am for this weekend. For those of you that did not know, on Sunday April 3rd, Community of Hope Church hosted a fundraiser lunch for me. After Pastor Todd’s sermon I was gifted some time to speak to the church about what the World Race is and how they could support me. We fellowshipped and talked about what God is doing in my life while eating barbeque, it doesn’t get much better than that. I would just like to say a huge thank you to Pastor Todd and Community of Hope Church because none of this would have been possible without them. I would also like to thank each and every single person that donated towards my mission trip. It says in Proverbs 11:25 “The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped” and I 100% believe that. God will repay each and every person that donated to me in unfathomable ways.
The night before this event I was praying, and I told God that no matter what happened in the morning I would be happy. If I raised $5 or $1,000, I would be just as thankful. I put it all in his hands and told him that I would not stress about a number, numbers mean nothing if there is no support behind them. I told him that I would much rather have the support of my church than their money. Money would only get me to these countries, support would keep me there. I’m beyond blessed to say that we raised both money and support. In total God provided me with $3,173 through those that donated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Over $3,000 in one day is absolutely crazy to me. WOW!! God is so so so good!!
If you did not get a chance to donate on the day you can still do so by clicking the donate button at the top right of this blog or you can send it directly to my Venmo @rebeccastockwell, if it asks for a 4-digit code to send the money the code is 2736. If you cannot support me financially no worries! You can support me by sharing this blog with everyone you know or even just talking to your friends about it. You can also pray for me and my team, for safe travels and that God will use us for His glory.
So beautifully written and this is just amazing. Thank you Pastor Todd/Pastor Jackson and The Community of Hope Church, you are amazing! Please continue to support Rebecca and share her story with your friends. You go girl!
