There are exactly 62 days until I leave for the World Race launch. As August 27th becomes closer and closer the more I receive the question, “are you ready?” Although I still have a few supplies to buy and a few thousand dollars to raise, my answer is 100% yes. 

I am ready. I am ready to live in a tent with my new best friends, ready to experience the different cultures of the world, ready to hug the little boys and girls of Guatemala, ready to wash the feet of the beautiful moms in Romania, ready to fellowship with the communities in Eswatini, ready to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to every person I come across. I am ready to leave the life I once knew and submit to the plans God has for my life. 

Not only am I ready, but I’m excited. I am excited to support the locals selling jewelry in the markets, excited to teach children English and play soccer with them, excited to open my heart to my team members, excited to take cold bucket showers after long days of evangelism, excited to praise God every second of every day for nine months straight. As 62 days becomes 61, then 60, I’m becoming more and more ready. In fact I’ve never been more ready in my life. There is no better time than now. I’m young and healthy and beyond equipped to love on my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ all over the world. 

So yes, I’m ready. In fact, I'm as ready as I’ll ever be.
